RESTAURANT
POS.
A connected service flow for orders, kitchen preparation, payment and the pace between them.
THE BRIEF
BUILT AROUND
THE RUSH.
A restaurant interface is used in motion, under pressure and by people with different responsibilities. Speed matters, but predictable state and recovery matter just as much.
The current copy is an editorial prototype. The detailed service map, interface states and measured outcomes will be added during the full case-study pass.
THE DIRECTION
EVERY ORDER
HAS A STATE.
The product should make it obvious what has been ordered, what has reached the kitchen, what is ready and what still needs attention.
Payment, voids and changes need deliberate safeguards without slowing down normal service. The right actions stay close while exceptional actions remain explicit.
Front of house
Keep table, order and guest context visible through the service cycle.
Kitchen flow
Translate orders into a clear preparation sequence with fewer missed updates.
Close the bill
Make payment status and adjustments easy to verify before completion.
The final study will trace a service from the first item to the closed bill. That detail comes next.
